Would You Drive an Hour and a Half to See Your Doctor?
Brenda Hicks drives an hour and a half to see her doctor. That might seem crazy to some, but she thinks nothing of it. “I just make a day of it,” she says. “Sometimes I do some shopping while I’m there, but other times, I just come for my adjustment.”
Brenda experienced severe neck pain after lifting a heavy box, and first came to Fulk Chiropractic in 1994. Dr. Charles Fulk did an exam and took X-rays. He discovered that she has one leg that is one half inch shorter than the other.
Getting the Right Help
“After one chiropractic adjustment, I could move my head a little! That’s when I knew this was going to help,” explained Brenda.
Dr. Charles Fulk was just 25 years old when he started Fulk Chiropractic in Olathe, KS. As a young doctor his passion for health was infectious, and soon he began to partner with like-minded colleagues to provide Kansas City with exceptional chiropractic care.

Even with the volume of people the doctors treat, Brenda never feels lost in the crowd. “With so many doctors and patients, some doctors would have trouble keeping their patients straight, but we moved away for 5 years shortly after my son was born. When we returned, Dr. Fulk asked me about him. He remembered I had a son – even though they had never met. He knows me, and the staff members know my name when I walk in the door. I feel like I’m part of the family.”
Open 7 Days a Week
“Our hours really set us apart from the competition. There isn’t another chiropractic clinic within 700 miles of Kansas City that’s Open 7 days a week and offers extended hours on Saturday and Sunday,” explained Dr. Fulk.
“There have been times that I’ve been in the area and have called to see if the clinic could get me in. They always do,” said Brenda.

The clinic offers specialized chiropractic treatment for patients suffering from symptoms such as headaches, back pain, neck pain and sciatica.
