Fall is in the air. Despite some warm afternoons this week, the weather is turning. Olathe’s largest fall festival, Johnson County Old Settlers, begins tomorrow morning in downtown Olathe KS. From September 5-7, 2013 (10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. each day) the smell of Grange pups and funnel cakes, the sound of children’s laughter and the hum of the carnival rides will fill the air. Doctors from Fulk Chiropractic Olathe will be offering free spinal screenings and posture analysis’ for the whole family, and local and regional musicians will offer free concerts each day.

Olathe chiropractors will be offering a ‘check your posture event’ near the intersection of Park and Chestnut. Their interactive booth has been one of the cornerstones of the event every year since 1992. This year, they proudly celebrate 21 years as a cornerstone sponsor of the event.

2013 Johnson County Old Settlers Expects 300,000
This year’s Johnson County Old Settlers event is expected to bring over 300,000 people to downtown Olathe KS . Families can enjoy an auto show, ice cream social, carnival, flower show, local arts and crafts booths, musicians, and fun, interactive booths for the kids.

Cool off Saturday afternoon in the air-conditioned McGilley-Frye Funeral Home at 2pm for a visual presentation of Olathe KS in the ‘old days’. See the Old Settlers parade when it was just on a dirt road and imagine what life was like on the Olathe Kansas prairie.
